Yesterday evening, I arrived in Victoria. So far, I can’t tell much about the city, since I wasn’t anywhere yet. Below, just some pictures that I snapped yesterday evening.
Victoria, the capital of British Columbia is a very british town. This starts with the architecture, but continues through the tourism marketing efforts, which try to sell Victoria to US american tourists (after all, it’s only a short ferry trip from Washington) as some kind of “Experience the charm and comfort of Great Britain only steps away from your home” thing. Pretty weird, and as far as I can tell, the town is extremely touristy, at least around where my hotel is.
